Construction Design Using Prolock Nova Panels
The structure consists of durable plastic panels combined with (hard)wood posts. The system was developed as a modern alternative to traditional post-and-panel revetments, preserving the aesthetic appeal while significantly extending the service life.
A key advantage of this structure is that maintenance and renovation remain straightforward. If wooden posts above the waterline no longer meet requirements over time, they can be replaced (if necessary) without dismantling the entire revetment. This ensures the structure remains durable and cost-effective.
For added durability, you can opt for combination posts with a plastic cap above the waterline. This provides extra protection against rot and further extends the structure’s lifespan.
Easy Installation of Prolock Nova
The installation of Prolock Nova follows the same method as traditional pile-and-sheet revetment and is easy to carry out.
- Install a row of posts as you would with traditional shoring
- Attach the Prolock Nova plastic panels to the posts using screws or carriage bolts
- Connect the panels with H-profiles
- Place a post at each connection
- Finish the ends with U-channels
