Corporate Social Responsibility
People, Planet and Profit in perfect harmony That is what we stand for In our vision, another ‘P’ is missing, that is, the P for Prolock.
We want to burden Earth as little as possible. We have therefore put circular business practices at the top of our list of priorities. We consciously make sustainable choices in our production process. We therefore choose to use recycled plastic as the basic raw material for our Prolock products. At the end of the service life, the profiles can be fully reused as a raw material for new Prolock screens.
People, Planet, Profit & Profextru
Profextru Productie B.V. believes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very important. To take each other and our impact on the environment into account. We take our responsibility seriously and therefore prove our services specifically and objectively in this area through the CSR Performance Ladder certificate. We are proud that we, as one of only 40 companies in the Netherlands, have achieved level 4 (where 5 is the highest level)!
NEW: LCA report 2022
Stimular has produced a life cycle analysis (LCA) of the Prolock pile revetment and sheetpile wall made from recycled PVC at the instructions of Profextru Production BV. The result of the LCA is an environmental profile with a very favourable environmental cost indicator (ECI) score. Prolock is therefore included in the Nationale Milieudatabase (NMD; National Environmental Database) and DuboCalc. Clients can now compare Prolock’s environmental impact with other sheetpile walls.
Partnership with Larcom
For many years, we have been making thankful use of work training company Larcom based in Hardenberg, the Netherlands.
Larcom offers sustainable prospects to people at a distance from the labour market. It supports authorities when fleshing out the Dutch Participation Act and assists companies to get capacity where it is required.

Profextru’s Green Deal
Profextru Productie B.V. has been based in Hardenberg since 1956. Most Profextru employees can therefore regularly be found in one of the beautiful forests that our Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park has to offer. To do exercise, take a walk and to spot deer and wild boar when they are lucky.
Forests are important to our country and annually attract millions of visitors. Forests, however, also contribute to biodiversity. Trees purify the air and capture CO2. Profextru believes this is sufficient reason to establish a partnership with Staatsbosbeheer (National Forest Service in the Netherlands) through the Buitenfonds foundation.
We donate 250 trees each year to the Buitenfonds foundation to be planted in one of the forests of Staatsbosbeheer. The trees are planted locally as much as possible so that our employees (and all forest lovers 😉) can also fully enjoy ‘our’ trees in the future!
MORE certificate
MORE (Monitoring Recyclates for Europe) is a platform where European manufacturers of plastic products can register the quantity of recyclates that they use. The plastics industry therefore makes every effort to achieve a goal of the EU: between 2025 and 2030, 10 million recyclates must be processed to produce new products. Profextru has committed to this and has now been issued with the MORE certificate.
