Renovation of the banks of the Commandeurspolder

For the renovation of the banks of the Commandeurspolder (the Netherlands), the Delfland Water Authority deliberately chose the durability and sustainability of Prolock.

The plastic underwater revetment was installed over a distance of 1,400 metres in Noordvliet. The revetment was installed on a slight slope that prevents clay and lava stone from dropping to the centre of the watercourse since this may lead to bank subsidence. This construction means that a little bit of water pools on the inner side to give fish and small water animals the chance to reproduce.
