Dike reinforcement Wijk Bij Duurstede

With Prolock Epsilon PVC Sheet Piling to a safe Lekdijk

Over a stretch of 11 kilometers, the Lekdijk between Wijk bij Duurstede and Amerongen will be thoroughly reinforced in the coming years. This is taking place within the national High Water Protection Program (HWBP). The dike will receive a sustainable upgrade to meet the latest water safety standards and to make the region future-proof.

For this extensive project, Prolock is supplying an important part of the dike reinforcement: our Epsilon is used to create a stable, water retaining structure at several locations along the dike. Thanks to the lightweight material, high durability and minimal environmental impact, our solutions are ideal for use in an area where accessibility, disturbance reduction and natural values are key.

Work & implementation

The first work started in August 2025 . Excavation of pile trenches, creation of working platforms and installation of sheet piling will be carried out in several phases. Here, safety, environment and efficiency are key.
