Prolock bank protection reused at the Oudega Waterfront
The Oudega harbour is being expanded and renovated during a joint initiative of Oudega, the municipality of Smallingerland, the province of Friesland and Wetterskip Fryslân (the Friesland Water Authority). The work is conducted by earth-moving and contracting company Van der Meer BV from Scharnegoutum (the Netherlands).
The harbour has been given a new layout, because of this, part of the Prolock Omega sheetpile wall that was currently present has been reused at a new location.
The sheetpile wall that is over 10 years old was easily removed from the bed and reused slightly further along the waterfront.
