Prolock Omega in Kazachstan

To prevent wave action and soil erosion from the Caspian Sea, a ten kilometre long Prolock sheetpile wall/wind screen has been installed along a new road between two oil platforms in Tengiz, Kazakhstan. The project has been prepared by Witteveen en Bos and implemented by a contractor from Kazakhstan. The light grey Prolock Omega screens are 4.50 metres high and the tubular piles are 9.00 metres long. The project was constructed in the period from March 2018 to July 2018.
