Prolock plastic as alternative for wood and steel

Bureau Schmidt was in charge of the technical elaboration for the municipality of Menameradiel for the project ‘Sheetpile wall installation for residential field B in Deinum’. From way back, wood and steel have often been used for the protection of banks. Using these materials has disadvantages such as maintenance, service life and their environmentally unfriendly nature. These disadvantages were the reason why the municipality decided to use Prolock sustainable plastic bank protection. In addition to a Prolock Omega sheetpile wall, a small inlet basin was realised.
