Sustainable sheet piling for villa’s at the Noorderplassen-West

Aannemingsbedrijf van Leeuwen GWW has realized a plastic sheet pile wall of the type Prolock Omega in Almere at the Noorderplassen-West to replace the existing hardwood sheet piles of 23 water villas for a more sustainable solution.

Commissioned by the owners Association Ensta, new plastic sheet piling has been placed around the existing hardwood sheet piling. Subsequently, the interspace was filled with clean sand so that the old sheet pile wall is completely withdrawn from further exposure to oxygen, which will bring the rotting process to a virtual standstill.

Thanks to the professional installation of Prolock shoring, the villas are protected against the water for the next 60 years. Allowing the residents to enjoy the beautiful surroundings with peace of mind.
